Aidan Scott is a Hollywood actor who has been propelled into the limelight after his performance in Netflix’s live-action rendition of Eiichiro Oda’s, One Piece. He masterfully plays the role of Helmeppo, and if you’re a fan of One Piece like me, you know getting the characters right in live-action format has to be a daunting task. Nonetheless, Aidan, A.K.A. Helmeppo, did his role justice.

Trivia
Before I start highlighting Aidan’s history in acting and his journey, lemme issue a disclaimer that there will be some spoilers here đ so buckle up. Most people know him from his performance as Helmeppo, despite him being in the acting scene for quite some time, having fallen in love with acting at a young age. He even took acting classes to sharpen his skills in front of the camera.
After completing his acting classes, he embraced a career in acting like fish to water and started doing various events and shows. being from South Africa, a country that embraces all sorts of art and entertainment, Aidan was never lacking in opportunities to show off his exemplary acting skills.
By now, I bet you can already figure out the trajectory his acting career took. He quickly caught the eye of a bunch of directors and was cast in the 2018 short film, ‘Action Point’, which is his first on-screen credit. Through merit, he continued to sharpen his skills and was given the intimidating role of playing Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th president of the United States, in the History Channel’s mini-series about the president. Seeming to be able to play the role of famous politicians well, he was also cast as James Matheny in a mini-series about the life of Abraham Lincoln, also by the History Channel.

However, I’m assuming that you are probably here because of his most recent works in One Piece1, where he portrays one of the most easily noticed characters, Helmeppo. Starting as a wimpy, bratty, and selfish son feeding off his father’s influence in the Marine Corps, it might come as a shock that, as the series goes on, he trains hard and ends up as a Marine Lieutenant Commander alongside Koby (also a character in One Piece). This change in persona is bound to test the limits of Aidan’s abilities to switch through emotions and personalities, and we are all here for it.
Other Works
Aside from his commendable performance in One Piece, Aidan has also walked the romantic film’s path, appearing briefly in The Kissing Booth 2 as ‘Harvard Friend 1’ and also in the TV series The Power as ‘Refugee Man 1’. He plays Tristan in the upcoming 2024 film, The Shakedown, which is currently in the works. He has also appeared in the sci-fi film The Fix as ‘Boxer’. It’s safe to say that Aidan already has an impressive resume in Hollywood, and it’s only going to get better.
