She has built her craft over the years by training with some of the best teachers in the acting industry, as she is an improv alum at Upright Citizens Brigade and IOWest.

Her father is African American, whereas her mother is a mix of Sioux Indian (Lakota) and Caucasian. She is married to her loving husband, Justin Zweber.
She is a born-again Christian3 and has revealed that she got saved in 2013, quoting that it has been the best thing to ever happen to her in her life.
